3M Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus Kit
The 3M Qualitative Fit Test Apparatus includes the Test Hood (#FT-14), Collar (#FT-15), two Nebulizers (#FT-13), Sensitivity Solution (55 mL), Fit Test Solution, two sets of replacement nebulizer inserts, and a laminated user instruction booklet (English/Spanish/Portuguese/French).
This test kit is designed to help your organization meet OSHA fit testing requirements for respirators. It can be used to check face-to-respirator seal on any particulate respirator or gas/vapor respirator with a particulate pre-filter.
Fit testing must be performed before a respirator is first issued to a healthcare worker and is required annually thereafter. It is accomplished by spraying the test agent into the hood environment with the respirator in place. If the wearer does not detect the taste of the test agent, an acceptable fit has been demonstrated.
This Fit Test Kit can perform approximately 150 tests. Refills of fit testing solutions can also be ordered from MFI.
